Hi Bernd. Thanks for your reply.

Well, probably posting in this topic was not such a good idea. The question is that I've found it when searching information about the "failed to compute placement" error message I'm getting here: https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic. ... 18#p558918 and I've tried to import the same file "House.ifc" trying to get a better understanding of the problem and I get the same error message:

11:33:43 failed to compute placement
11:33:43 failed to compute placement
11:33:43 failed to compute placement
11:33:43 failed to compute placement
11:33:43 failed to compute placement
11:33:43 Failed to rebuild a valid solid for object Component
11:33:43 Failed to rebuild a valid solid for object Component001
11:33:43 Finished importing 0.0 MB in 0 seconds, or 20 s/MB

I'll update the issue I've opened and stop posting in this topic.
