I read some nice news today: https://tweakers.net/nieuws/178018/syst ... d-uit.html
A dutch artiticle about that system76 (linux desktops and laptops) now created a open hardware keyboard made where they link to FC and Kicad for visualisation!

Nice to see system76 doing things.
I have 2 of their laptops. Pleased with the hardware and their tech support.
But, they have their own nvidia drivers. They are concentrating on Pop! OS, less so on Ubuntu (vanilla) now, and if it's not either of those, they pretty much ask you to stall their PPA as a support tool.
Not necessarily bad, but their nvidia driver is typically behind the mainstream nvidia package.

Re: FreeCAD on the web
While browsing for CFD cases, I stumbled upon this amazing demo of FreeCAD FEM.
I tried to search FEM and FreeCAD on the web topics for "solvercube" (the website) or "hawk lee" the writer of the article. Couldn't find. But apologies if that has been already shown.
https://solvercube.com/freecad-fem-work ... ulix-2-14/
This is a fantastic demo of how (already in 2018) FreeCAD could perform modelling and FEA in one flawless workflow!

There is a short article about 3D-Design with FreeCAD in the MAKE Magazine 01/2021 on page 128:

Re: FreeCAD on the web
If I search for freecad.org on google I get http://ww12.freecad.org Which is nothing to do with FreeCAD and nothing to do with free CAD software. Trades description act anybody.
Have vague memory that this was a domain name that got away and the owner wanted silly money to give it up. Is that a correct memory?

Re: FreeCAD on the web
Interesting that it's beating us on search relevancy... it hasn't been announced yet but the reason that page is showing up now is because the fine folks at KiCad Services were able to secure the domain for us--but the migration from freecadweb.org to freecad.org is going to be a big chunk of work.

Re: FreeCAD on the web
So would it be reasonable to set up a redirect from freecad.org to our current domain in the interim?kkremitzki wrote: ↑Wed Mar 17, 2021 2:50 pm Interesting that it's beating us on search relevancy... it hasn't been announced yet but the reason that page is showing up now is because the fine folks at KiCad Services were able to secure the domain for us--but the migration from freecadweb.org to freecad.org is going to be a big chunk of work.
