This thread is going to start derailing away from 'User Showcase' guidelines. What is the recommended name of the new thread discussing this thread that I can create, @paullee ?

Maybe in IFC sub-forum like

Testing TechDraw + ArchView again and show some plans here :)

Just a small remark, under the display section in the preferences, there is an anti-aliasing setting. If you would bump the number up a bit, that likely could make some sense.

P.S. Beyond saying that, nice to see FreeCAD is just as capable for architecture work, as it is for mechanical engineering. There isn't much software out there, capable of doing both.

Thanks, have long not learning tweaking setting there ! It looks better using MSAA x2 :)

Tried to use Wiki but seems steep learning curve for me, so trying to explain briefly the structure and technique of modelling here.

[EDIT]
Pseudo-Tutorial - 1

[ Pseudo-Tutorial - 2 ... Pseudo-Tutorial - 3 ]

Sketches as Architectural Layout
  1. The model use mostly Sketches as Base of ArchWall instead of Draft Line or Wire etc
  2. Use Sketches to layout the floor plan of the 3 storeys of the buildings
  3. Then use Sketch's MapMode / Attachment Offset function to place the disposition of the floor plans relative to each other
  4. Click 1F Sketch MapMode "...", Select GF Sketch in the 1st Reference, Object XY in Attachment Mode, and 3300mm in z-Direction
  5. The 1F Sketch is now 3300mm above the GF Sketch Relatively - wherever GF move subsequently
  6. Do similar for 2F against 1F (likewise for Windows based Sketches)
  7. The Sketches are used as Base to Build ArchWall for the 3-Storeys
  8. Now the Sketches / Model is conceived / would move as a whole
This is basic framework.

To be continued ...
[EDIT] Pseudo-Tutorial - 2

To create faces on the the cut you can create from the Section Plane a Shape2DView with the Projection Mode property as Cutfaces

Thanks for the tip ! I learned that from @Regis' video :) And this showcase is actually part of learning process.

Indeed looks better with the cutfaces, whatever colour it is.
