The FreeCAD team is happy to announce the release of FreeCAD 0.19.3!

This is a maintenance release of the FreeCAD 0.19 series. Therefore it does not bring new features but fixes many bugs.
The full list of fixes can be found here:
https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/rele ... #changelog

Installers for MacOS and Windows as well as a Linux AppImage can be found in the assets of the release page at GitHub (at the very last of the page):

For how to install, see the installation instructions:
https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/rele ... structions

What do you mean with portable?
You can take the installer and set up FC on any PC without the need to have admin rights. In principle the installer is then a self-extracting ZIP archive.
You can also "install" (in fact unzip) to a USB stick, but then your preferences will be different, depending on what PC you use the FC from your USB stick. Really portable would in my opinion if I could keep the preferences and I don't know yet if this possible. If there was such an installer in the past, please tell me that I can have a look.

yeah portable is not the right term but it is how people usually refer to the plain zip downloads of the windows builds (conda and libpack)

Thanks!
do we document somewhere in the Wiki that thr *.7z-files is for a portable version? And that the preferences are not portable?

By the way, would a *.zip be better for a release? I am not sure if everybody can open a *.7z file.

7z files are provided for years now and users know how to handle them. We see very few questions abou it here.
