Why can't I pocket this

The YT video I watch was the first few tutorial videos I watched as a new FreeCAD user. I found a tutorial for FreeCAD, lesson number 1. I just say I will just start from there. I was so new to FreeCAD that I would not know if the info in the video was good or bad. I did not know enough even to ask a question. Then I found this forum.

That's well understandable. It is indeed aproblem that there are youtube channels pretending to be the official FreeCAD tutorial channel.
A Sketcher Lecture with in-depth information is available in English, auf Deutsch, en français, en español.
