...Theoretically yes but threads about particular workbenches and macros there are often the place where people also ask questions, report bugs and so on....
Speaking about threads are we at thread "Open discussion" ?

And by the way is there any technical manual about forum ?

I would like to see a subforum for some frequently used addons. Before proposing it to the moderators, what do you think about this:

Subforum "Addon workbenches" or just "Addons"
- Curves
- A2+
- Assembly3
- Assembly4
- SheetMetal
- Fasteners
- Other Addon workbenches

Good idea. These add-ons are a major part of FreeCAD and they deserve their own categories. But maybe assembly modules should stay in the current Assembly subforum (just with 3 categories created there).

Probably it will be good something similar to this:
Assembly
-- A2+
-- Assembly3
-- Assembly4

Curves

Fasteners

Others:
--
--
--
But probably using a simple discriminating data, "number of pages", and probably if some subforum is done, probably moving some posts that are grouped "by arguments" but this will probably require some more work to moderators, to analyze every post and place in the correct subforum, probably some help will be needed.

It seems difficult with the actual forum "format" have subforums displayed as "a tree", a "sticky position" will be a good idea, if "stiky posts" are not more than 10 it seems that there is enough room for "new posts".

But as I'm interested in "Python and Scripts", probably even some subforums:
BSplines
Geom2D
Part
Draft
GUI (Qt related)
But same considerations as above for the "amount of work", when searching sometimes is difficult as many queries are interpreted as "using too common terms".

My two cents.
