Open Hardware robot - Rosmo - Looking for volunteer(s)
Hi a small team are working on this: https://rosmo.io/
We have a reasonable amount of PCB & software skill in the team, We worked with a volunteer who did the chassis you see on the site. That was done in Fusion360
We also have a basic platform for motor testing https://github.com/rosmo-robot/Rosmo_3D/tree/main/v1.1
The original design looks good but is not very printable on cheap 3Dprinters.
Is anyone interested in helping us do a V2? A rough spec/ idea is here: https://github.com/rosmo-robot/Rosmo_3D/tree/main/V2

Re: Open Hardware robot - Rosmo - Looking for volunteer(s)
There are SLDPRT files there. How are we supposed to work with that?
Re: Open Hardware robot - Rosmo - Looking for volunteer(s)
I just found and uploaded a creative commons .stl to replace that wheel part
I don't know if it would be easier to start from the [https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2896668]LiTeRo chassis [/url]and adapt that?
Or if it's better to just start from scratch? Ideally, we'd end up with a Cern-P licensed part. CC-BY would be OK though.

Not sure if this helps but https://github.com/rosmo-robot/Rosmo_3D/pull/14
Re: Open Hardware robot - Rosmo - Looking for volunteer(s)
Really nice Thanks.
It would be great if we can use Freecad for this project. The significant PCB is done in Kicad already, so an open hardware bot done on open tooling would be pretty cool IMHO.

The next step would be adapting that part to have a solid centre and holes for the M3 bolts at 16mm & 19mm spacing: https://github.com/rosmo-robot/Rosmo_3D ... nsions.jpg
Re: Open Hardware robot - Rosmo - Looking for volunteer(s)
Probably should move this out of the 'Job offers' subforum, right?

Ah sorry, yes do please move it if it's in the wrong place. I saw some had a [Paid] tag and incorrectly assumed there were volunteer posts here too.

This CC-BY .STL https://github.com/rosmo-rob ... _Caps.stl might be useful?
