Questions About Realthunder FreeCAD/Branch: LinkDaily

Post by Palmtree »

I have observed that the development is continuous on daily basis (refer to attached image 2.jpg)
Question 1:
Is realthunder FreeCAD the (Asset 1- refer to attached image 1.jpg- FreeCAD-asm3-Daily-Win-Conda-Py3.9-20220430-x86_64.7z) branch updated daily?
Link: https://github.com/realthunder/FreeCAD/ ... 04.30-edge
If yes, I am confused :? as the number of the file stays the same (it is not similar to FC 0.21 - Download The Weekly-Builds which lists the revision number such as 0.21.29283 (Git)

Question 2:
As a user I think “Asset 1” (listed in question 1) is the one most suitable to use. Is this correct?

Question 3:
The main difference between (Asset 2 & 3) and Asset 1 is the older Py3 (instead of Py3.9). Is this correct?

You can see the upload date of the asset on the right, they are all from may as you can see so definitely not updated daily, not sure why realthunder chose that name. The difference between 1 and 2 is probably the libraries used for the build, one uses Conda and the other probably the libpack, there shouldn't be much difference between them I would think, the third asset is from a different branch that is more in sync with the then stable version of upstream freecad (0.19).

that's the difference between 3 and the others, and doesn't really explain why the misleading "daily" name but that's a minor detail
