Associating FCStd files with RealThunder's LinkStage3 branch

Post by Footz »

Greetings.

Has anyone managed to asociate FCStd files with Link Stage 3 in Windows so they have FreeCad icon and open with LS3?? I only managed it with the master branch, but when trying to add FreeCadLink.exe as the default program nothing happens, like it's not recognized as a valid program. It happend on Windows 7.

On my new computer with Windows 11, it manages to open the file while using 'open with' context menu funtion, but it won't remember the association, nor change the icon througout the system.
Any ideas for a workaround? THX

Hm, I've doublechecked and it does indeed work on my Win11, but still no luck on Win 7 laptop.
Thanx
