Hello -- I just upgraded to FreeCAD 19.3 on my Windows 11 Home laptop and ran into this issue. After debugging, I figured out it's related to my dual monitor setup. My workaround is to launch FreeCAD with one monitor only, then "connect" the second one.

With 1 monitor (external) when I launch FreeCAD:
FreeCAD launches successfully. Once it's loaded, I can open the laptop lid and continue using FreeCAD with 2 monitors without issue.


With 2 monitors (laptop lid and external) when I launch FreeCAD:
When I launch FreeCAD, the splash screen comes up immediately but when the main window opens it's all white and the titlebar says "Not Responding" within a couple of seconds.

When FreeCAD hangs, the logfile has no errors, but the tail looks like this:

Can you please retry with a current 0.20? It uses different libraries. If the behaviour is still the same I can add it to the known issues.

I downloaded 20.26858 this evening and saw the same issue -- log file is attached to this reply.

I can confirm this - FreeCAD 19.3 / 19.4 stopped working from one day to the next. Windows 11, Nvidia 511.23. Two QHD monitors.

It freezes on startup if both monitors are active. Turn off one in Windows Display Settings ("Show only on 1"), and it starts. Afterwards possible to extend again.

I can confirm this issue is still present in 0.20!

I have had the issue since version 0.19 and need to always reset the registry keys for window position every time I open FreeCAD :/
