Hi Roelof,

with 'sogt' do you mean soqt or sogtk? Then the .so modules must start with an underscore otherwise it cannot work. So, your file structure seems to be OK but the files must be: _coin.so and _soqt.so because the wrapper scripts coin.py and soqt.py try to load the modules _coin and _soqt, respectively.

Not sure which sources you used to build the libs but pivy 0.3 can only be built with Coin2.x and pivy 0.5 can only be built with Coin3.x.

I used the sources from the pivy site.
Gentoo doesn't have pivy.

with sogt I mean soqt sorry for he misunderstanding.

And thank you for the clarification why pivy 3 wont compile if i install coin 3.1.0.
