Directional specific properties: composites.

Post by wingman »

Is there a way to give FreeCAD materials different properties in each direction (XYZ)? For example, carbon fibre has different tensile strength in various directions depending on the orientation of the fibres within the material.

Is there a way to use directional properties in FreeCAD ?

Is there any update concerning this issue?
Other profession tools have an option to create a batch of layers, each layer in other direction if required. Something like this will be very nice to calculate parts like aircraft wings....
