Dear all,
I have tried to simulate a slotted pipe flow but I am encountering some issues. The slotted pipe is placed in a cubic domain, which can be water, air, or sand. The water is entering the slotted pipe with a certain mass flow and I am expecting it to flow through the slots and to the end of the pipe (if the flow allows it). The geometry seems to consider the slots as surfaces and not holes, therefore I cannot assign boundary conditions properly.
Attached is the model.

This thread should belong to the CfdOF subforum of the FEM workbench forum. There someone may help.
Re: Slotted pipe flow CfdOf simulation
Your slots have been cut out of your domain, so CfdOf is treating them as a domain boundary and not as a hole. I would recommend creating your pipe first, then creating your domain around it, so that your boundaries behave the way you expect them to.
