Not the results i expected

Post by Budahn »

Thats it, i can run the simulation perfectly but when i see the results in Paraview it not goes the way i expected, i dont know if its a geometry problem, maybe the XOR or a boundary error that im having. Please if someone can help me ill be gratefull. Thanks!!!

If you don't post wat you expect and what you want to achieve... how should we know?

Looking at the file I'm guessing you're not grasping that you should only mesh the base geometry of where your fluid (air in this case) is to flow. So I'm again guessing from your model that Tubo is the only geometry that should be meshed. If you need 'Problem' wall as part of the case then you will have to make Tubo up from two objects with the join being at the plane where Problem resides. The whole box and it's fixing holes are redundant IMHO.

Have you done any of the tutorials at http://www.opensim.co.za/training.html , the demo files are part of the workbench in your users/home....\Mod\CfdOF\Demos folder?

Im sorry if i wasnt clear, with that simulation im tryyng to fill the box with the air of the tube but the air suddenly stop at the wall of the box and i dont know how to make it through

thanks for the response!! i wanted to fill the box with the fluid from the tube, so ill try to delete the "problem" wall maybe that works.
Thanks for the tutorials im definitely gonna do them

I thought the best next step was to give you a working example as near to what you're trying to achieve (thanks go to Thomas for this https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic. ... 32#p412832) and brought it up-to-date so it wouldn't error using the latest CfdOF workbench version 1.17.7. I also removed some extra geometry that might have confused a new user. Notice there's no mixing of Part and Part Design, it's just simple cylinders and booleans operations to cut one 3D object from another. You'll see when you mesh it that the deflector plates are cut from the inner tank to leave the volume of the flow. It's a much larger tank than your box so the cfMesh element size of 50mm will be too big for you so scale it down accordingly, guesstimate of 2.5mm won't be too far wrong.
