Re: Architecture designs and concepts
As videos are supposed to be educational, you should either use FreeCAD master or point out where you need special realthunder stuff. The different appearance often irritates new users.

I really like your efforts Thomas, you are unstoppable!thomas-neemann wrote: ↑Wed Oct 13, 2021 4:37 pm concept of a park house

Suggestion: if you want to have a wider range of people using your videos as reference or tutorial/inspiration, try, if you can, to use english interface on FCAD rather then german. This is better too for commands and follow tutorials on wiki and official guide. Just my two cents!

Re: Architecture designs and concepts
When it comes to concepts, the visual representation is often important, realthunder has the shadow representation, which improves the spatial representation and, in my opinion, looks better.
i will point out when this version is used and why in the future. that makes sense

thanks for the approval. i will try to work with the english interface for new videos. the half-finished videos are still in german. it will take a while
edit
here's another reason for realthunder, i can't manage to reorganize the parts tree in master when it is big

For some works, and also for modelling in general, shadows makes a *huge* difference.

Re: Architecture designs and concepts
My comment was not about the shadows or any other realthunder thing. It was about the fact that the realthunder branch is not FreeCAD master. It is usually discussed in the Assembly forum.ragohix769 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 14, 2021 8:57 am For some works, and also for modelling in general, shadows makes a *huge* difference.

Re: Architecture designs and concepts
I know Chris; mine too wasn't a comment pro or versus some version of FCAD. Simply I like (a lot) the Shadow feature, and I'd like to see it too in the master, that's allchrisb wrote: ↑Thu Oct 14, 2021 2:31 pmMy comment was not about the shadows or any other realthunder thing. concept on map and aerial view
the lighting (brightness) is better in the realthunder (shadow view) than in the master
