Re: [Solved use flatpak version] Vertex and center marks not shown on TechDraw
I just joined to report this similar issue to the Manjaro (Arch) repository version. I have spent hours trying to get any vertices to appear on my TechDraw drawings, but absolutely nothing seems to work. I've tried setting vertex size, turning view frames on/off, etc but nothing is working.
Is it possible there is something wonky with the Linux builds right now?
I might try the flatpak version (as much as I hate running flatpak).
Version information:
OS: Manjaro Linux (KDE/plasma)

Python version: 3.10.2

You can always try the AppImage, which doesn't rely on other things on your system. And trying the latest 0.20 is also a good idea.

Is KDE Plasma the common factor here? Any other KDE Plasma users that can comment?
Re: [Solved use flatpak version] Vertex and center marks not shown on TechDraw
I use KDE Plasma on Debian Sid on my main dev machine, and so far it has worked flawlessly for both self-compiled and Debian-packaged versions of FreeCAD. However, I've recently used just the self-compiled versions, because the Debian-packaged version is not current enough for me. But, I suspect it's not a KDE Plasma thing, but somehow related to Fedora distribution.wandererfan wrote: ↑Sun Mar 27, 2022 1:25 pm Is KDE Plasma the common factor here? Vertex and skinny line problems have been reported in
Fedora KDE/Plasma Qt 5.15.2
Manjaro KDE/Plasma Qt 5.15.2
Arch Gnome Qt 5.15.2
What Qt version are you using?
EDIT:
also Ubuntu/Gnome Qt 5.15.2
Re: [Solved use flatpak version] Vertex and center marks not shown on TechDraw
I also have Qt 5.15.2, and I have Debian in two of my FreeCAD-machines. They have slightly different Debian package versions (other is up-to-date, and another hasn't been updated for couple of months), and neither of them have the aforementioned problems. Could be a Linux Qt problem, which for some reason hasn't appeared in Debian yet; or it could be a Linux Qt Wayland problem. I'm using the old Xorg windowing system in both of my Debian machines, so I have Qt/Xorg, but I've heard that many modern Linux distributions use the new Qt/Wayland (and Qt/XWayland). I haven't migrated yet, because Wayland (may) still have some irritating clipboard etc bugs waiting for a fix, and I don't actually need it for anything.wandererfan wrote: ↑Mon Mar 28, 2022 12:47 pm Vertex and skinny line problems have been reported in

I'm also using x11, don't tried wayland, the mantainer of the fedora repo also report a similar issue but related to width of lines https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2062454 and said something about the vtk-9 patch.
The content of the report
The content of the report
Shows buggy width problem.
Free-cad version : freecad-0.19.4-1.fc36.x86_64
In attachment you can see that I changed all of the line-width values but has zero effect on it. It also weird that If we use app-image/flatpak version. It just works. I don't know it is because of the "vtk-9" patch or other patches we have on free-cad but It didn't do the effect what is suppose to do it.

Re: [Solved use flatpak version] Vertex and center marks not shown on TechDraw
FWIW, this is still an issue in Fedora 37. I just installed F37 and tested this issue as it affects something that is coming up for me. I am using Wayland now but tested in both KDE and Gnome so the problem is not due to KDE.
I submitted a bug for this in Fedora.
