You seem to be proposing that someone does the job and someone-else gets the money ... doesn't sound like a very promising business model.

Rather than doing the job, getting money, then donating to FC, I propose that requester directly donates. This is called efficiency. Nothing to do with business model.

It has happened before in this very forum, it's obviously voluntary, I've done it myself too. Nothing is stopping individuals who would like to get payed from offering their services, this subforum is for that.

I have seen a few offers ended successfully in donation, but haven't seen one normally paid in the last one or two year here. I have no problem for both, but would like to hear more successful story that people get paid by using freecad.

It will be not a bad idea that the OP will let us know if the job is assigned to someone.

Probably some "engage rules" have to be stated.

How about a "banner" at top of this Forum section with some rules?

Maybe stating some decorators like [Paid], or [OpenSource], [Collaboration Wanted], [Closed], [Assigned] or similar could be helpful, but I don't know who his "in charge" for this sort of things.


NOTE: Job is already assigned, I know because I have contacted by PM the guy that made the offer.

I agree that is difficult.

Possible approach could be:

- "poking the OP", maybe a moderator could preiodically send a PM to remeber to "close the thread".
- an "automatic way" after some time a moderator could add some "tags" like [Close], if the OP will maitain it open he knows if he read the Rules that after say 3 months the post will be marked as [Closed] it has to take some actions like making a post that confirm the availability of the job, or other actions.


As usual is only a suggestion, and probably asking someone make a job is not very fair.

Only to improve this part of the forum, for people that maybe will want to make a job with FC. (That will surely improve FC spreading).

But these are only my two cents.
