Where to find Sketcher CarbonCopy?

Post by Frank Schrüfer »

Hy,

I just can't find the sketcher function described here: https://wiki.freecadweb.org/Sketcher_CarbonCopy
I have the target sketch opened and activated all toolbars, but the icon is nowhere to see. Also in the menu I can't find it.
Can anybody give me an advice?
Maybe there's a shortcut?

Thanks,
Frank

Can you provide a screencopy of your Freecad ?

Perhaps your line of icons is not fully opened.

Great, thanks. The tooltip with german language setting says 'Pause'. The word in german means the same as in English: something like a break.
So I skipped taking a closer look :-)

I appreciaqte your help!

Yes. Pause is short for Blaupause which is blue-print in English.

I cannot remember times when carbon copy sheets were used to multiply drawings, but I remember the smell of freshly copied blue-print sheets. :D

Let's call it "Blaupause" then. It seems to be clearer as it needs less context. (Someone preparing for an engraving job may wonder, why the is "Pause" in Sketcher.
I made a proposal in Crowdin. To discuss this translation topic further, we should move to the German forum.
A Sketcher Lecture with in-depth information is available in English, auf Deutsch, en français, en español.
