I want to give covering sketchs to my 2D sketch

Post by ismetacar »

Hello guys, I'm new in here and try to learn Freecad! I have some issue that I don't know how to explain but I will do my best. I have a 2D sketch and I want to enlarge that sketch but there is a catch... It must be 2mm to all direction so 2. sketch will looks like covering the 1. sketch (with 2 mm distance) I tried my best to find solution to my problem but I couldn't. Can you explain me to how to do it or can you give me some advices. Thanks a lot already!

This is called offset. It's not implemented yet but you can use:
- SketcherOffset macro: https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD-macr ... et.FCMacro
- Part Offset2D tool
- Draft Offset tool

Or make a subshapebinder of the sketch and use it's offset property if you are using Part Design.

Just a side note. Subshapebinder works outside of Part Design.

But a Shapebinder will only work in Part Design.
