Modelling aircraft fuselage from drawing

Post by Thomas86 »

Hello,

I have been trying to model a fuselage of a Carl Goldberg electric glider (RC) but can't get it to work.
I have imported two images from a 100% scale plan and traced the outline of the plane, both top and side view.
Then i pad the sketches and merge them whit a common bolean.
After this i get stuck as it seems impossible to "hollow out" the structure in any way.
Since the file is to big to attach to this post you can download it from my onedrive;

if anyone could have a look and suggest a workflow that would be much appreciated.

Plz note I'm still very much a beginner in CAD modelling and the only experience i have is the modelling of the wing, see this post;

All help appreciated

Have a look at the Curves workbench series by MangoJelly on YouTube.

Thanks for the help guys, that corsair video series is really interesting, almost like black magic.

I'll have a look at mango jelly again as well, although i usually get adds every 2 minutes which is very annoying.
