DynamicData import values from constraints

Post by tre4b »

Hi All,

I was trying to use this feature of DynamicData. I cannot seem to get anything to happen, the dialog pops up asking me to confirm I want to do this but then nothing happens.

Do any others use this workbench and if so is there a trick to getting this to happen?

I am using the most up to date version of the plugin.

I replied to you on github. Thanks for creating the topic. I did not see it before replying there. Please attach the file you are attempting to import so I can see if perhaps you have some issue with the sketch. You should also include your full freecad information from help -> about freecad -> copy to clipboard.

Ta Markster,

I did not know you were on here and thought maybe I was doing something stupid ;-)

Will do it through that Issue and post back into here once it is solved so that others can see.

What is the issue? Seems to works as I've always used it...

Not sure it just does nothing. Probably something in my file or something. I have added more to the git hub issue.

As promised:

The issue that I had was my own fault. I had used spaces in my sketch naming, and also the naming of the dimensions. With those removed or replaced with underscores everything worked as advertised.

thanks to TheMarkster for helping me figure it out

Providing a file reveals such issues extremely fast.
