Works without issues. I'm using FreeCad flatpak version since debian apt-get install gives 0.18.4 version which cannot read some of my works done with the newer versions. I have had difficulties with other flatpaks as well, but different. For example Gimp didn't import some files due to the compatibility comflicts with flatpak darktable. Would like to go back to apt-get installations since now I finally understand the philosophy behind that.

the ppa is unmaintained so it's not a good idea to switch to it, if you are using debian check if there is a newer version available in backports repo. Or just use the official appimage.

Did you ran wget in a bash session within the flatpak as I mentioned for the git command?

Thanks for your help! I switched to appimage. It works fine. I think the flatpak anomaly remains unsolved. Anyway, I'm happy to continue my work now with the appimage.
