I want to make one part that would sandwich between a couple copies of an other. One side should exactly match the other. I will come up with that profile with either a bunch of arcs or splines. The opposite sides will be significantly different.
In Inkscape I would simply select the group of edge pieces and ctl-c then change to the other image and ctl-v.
This does not seem possible in any of the work benches that I have tried.
Also, is there a way to get a copy of the outline of a face when sketching on the face? I thought I had done it with some offset command or something but can't seem to do it again.
Copy from one sketch to another?

Re: Copy from one sketch to another?
If you select a sketch in the tree Ctr-C Ctr-V works.
Maybe you will prefer a Carbon copy of your sketch
- Create a sketch with elements and full constrained
- Create a new sketch
- Select a line of the underlying sketch and carboncopy it
-The new sketch can be edited

Re: Copy from one sketch to another?
You're talking about handles for the knife?
Consider using shapebinders to bring the geometry into a new body, and then a clone for the mirror image.

Re: Copy from one sketch to another?
I am talking about making springs and handles. The springs have a specific requirement in size and shape. So once it is made with the inside shape, the outside shape will be the beginning for the handle.
I just tried the carbon-copy, that is awsome!! I haven't figured out the shape binders yet. But will give them a try too.
