Angle measure not visible in tech draw
Hello,
I try to use the tech draw workbench to to render a 2D sketch. I have created a view based on the sketch. This has worked fine. I now need to add a few measures to the drawing. Horizontal and vertical measures work fine. But angle measures show up in the tree but are not visible on the view.
I have attached some screenshots. Has anyone got any ideas on what I need to do to make the measurement visible?
Thanks,
Roger

NO problem for me BUT the angle dimension is far to the right so you need to find it and move it.

Re: Angle measure not visible in tech draw
You should not show dimensions on a complete drawing but use a TechDraw_DetailView.
(Your sketch is ... awful : too much lines. You should do a 3D object using Repetition.)

Re: Angle measure not visible in tech draw
you can't have an angle between 2 intersecting lines: which side is the angle?
use the "angle by 3 points" tool
Edit: I spoke: measure the angle between these 2 lines

Re: Angle measure not visible in tech draw
Thanks for your quick response. I have used freecad in the past but not much. So I am afraid I have another question.
How do I move the measurement? I can select it but I cannot drag it.
Yes my sketch is awful. I plan to simplify it by merging the lines.
Once again thanks for your help.

NO, it's possible.papyblaise wrote: ↑Wed Aug 03, 2022 1:43 pm you can't have an angle between 2 intersecting lines: which side is the angle?
It's the same problem with 2 intersecting lines and Angle tool in Sketcher : one of the angle will be chosen (which one ?).

Re: Angle measure not visible in tech draw
Drag the dimension text, not the lines. You probably want to use a bigger font size too (or a magnifying glass!).wearyhacker wrote: ↑Wed Aug 03, 2022 1:52 pm How do I move the measurement? I can select it but I cannot drag it.

Re: Angle measure not visible in tech draw
(copying the body for the simplified view. But modifying the order of the 1st body would be a better solution, just drawing features before LinearPattern.)
