On body `Cage` > `Sketch027` I want to have body `Base001` > `Sketch026` as external geometry.
I did:
1. Created body `Cage`
2. Created `Sketch027` enabling "Allow used feature" and "From other bodies of the same part"
3. Opened the Link dialog clicking on External Geometry of `Sketch027`
4. Selected `Sketch026` and clicked ok. Now in the External Geometry field there is a "link" (blue and w/ underscore) to `Sketch026`
5. Opening and closing `Sketch027` leads to the following warning/error:
Code: Select all
08:34:38 Sketcher::SketchObject: Link(s) to object(s) 'Sketch026' go out of the allowed scope 'Sketch027'. Instead, the linked object(s) reside within 'Model Part002'.
08:34:38 Unsupported sub-shape type
Clear constraints to external geometry
And which is the unsupported sub-shape?
Then I tried to use `ShapeBinder` (even if I guess the "From other bodies of the same part" should be enough). Anyway:
1. Body `Cage` active
2. Select `Sketch026`
3. Click on `ShapeBinder`
4. Click on Add Geometry and select one edge of the sketch
5. Repeat until all edges are in magenta (by the way, is not there a way to import *all* the sketch?)
6. Still in the `Sketch027` I cannot import external geometry
7. Tried to add `ShapeBinder` > `Sketch026` to the External Geomtry field of `Sketch027` but I got the same error as above
Would you try to put me on the right track here?
