I would be surprised if the Do-it-all, Woolworth, and Brico-store ..... do not have any in their catalog

Usually is the producer or the vendor that will have specifications, and usually they make even 3d files or CAD files for reuse, so maybe some IGES or STEP files exist somewhere (IGES and STEP are wide used in US industry, from what I know from some guys that will design for industry)

Some of them are "standards", but if you go to maybe ISO or DIN or other standards sites, you will see that the "standard specifications" are sold and usually their cost is not very low.

Many producer, usually have also some copyright on catalogues or specifications, so using the data supplied may expose the person who "reuse" this data subject to some legal action for copyright infringments. so it is not a "trivial task", in term of "amount of work" and even in term of licenses and similar annoyances.

Probably with some more funding or when FC will be "widely used" maybe some producer or vendor will make library for FC.

Threads are not too difficult to obtain, and in FC there are many ways top make this sort of things.

No need to replicate other shapes / configurations. Just create a short stub with the threads. Nothing else is needed.
