Hey there,
i am using FreeCAD 0.18 on Fedora 30 and when i click File->Export, choose "FEM mesh Formats" type in the filename in the Box no file gets created in the target directory.
I can create other format files like: .amf or .step
I tried diffrent locations like "Desktop" and "Home" or "/home/randomsubfolder/structure/" this has no effect.
Can someone reproduce that?

i just downloaded the version from the webpage. Open up the part design bench create a body and try to Export it as STL. That does not work, it creates no File.
