Need a clear simpler workflow for Assy 3

Hi Guys,
The only thing that is making trouble for using FC as my main design tool is an assembly WB. A2p constraints break when modifying part. Assy 4 for using only LCS so I decide to check assy3 last night. After an hour struggle I linked two parts and made constraints. But both parts were open in FC. As soon as I close both parts but assy remain open) both parts disappeared from assy file.
Would someone like to give me a simpler and easy to understand tutorial /workflow so I can check assy 3???
I need simple assembly not advance features ATM.
