You can basically use the same method by using a bash script or shortcut icon that forces setting files to be on the mass storage device.

Use the AppImage releases as it basically contains the needed libs and will run on many Linux distros.

EDIT : AppImage

yes APPIMAGE and USB key

motif testing this macro (and others) with Linux on USB key Live and APPIMAGE FreeCAD without installation ... (USB key 4 gb)
