Lab in a precast concrete building
Hello,
I wanted to share with you this model, it is the lab where I have been working for a long time. I tried to model the precast concrete building construction and a couple of frames we use for structure's testing. Any suggestion on how to better organize the model and its components would be really appreciated.
Guido.

Re: Lab in a precast concrete building
when i create an ifc from it, these parts are missing, how did you create them?
Re: Lab in a precast concrete building
I am glad to hear that. I started to create it a year ago in my spare time to learn how to use FreeCAD, I don't know how long did it take until todaythomas-neemann wrote: ↑Mon May 30, 2022 8:46 amI find it very successful. how long did it take to create it

Moved thread into user showcase subform.
Can someone make a nice screenshot so we can add it to the original post?

Re: Lab in a precast concrete building
Kunda1, thank you for moving my post in the subforum User Showcase. That's what I wanted to do with my original post. I did not understand why originally it appeared in the Help on using FreeCAD, surely I did something wrong.
Re: Lab in a precast concrete building
I made a compound of a body and a wire extrusion, maybe not the best way to create a component.thomas-neemann wrote: ↑Mon May 30, 2022 9:43 amwhen i create an ifc from it, these parts are missing, how did you create them?

Please, could you share your ifc model? I would like to start exploring the BIM module and how it works.
Thank you for posting the screenshot

Unfortunately, the file is over 1mb and therefore too large to upload. here you can see how I did it
