Very true. This is why ThreadMaker Macro includes disabled thread on creation, and a pair of enable/disable thread icons to act on all threads in the document. So you can design without the delay of thread computation, then enable all threads at once just before exporting project to real world. Also, have you looked at the Fastener's Workbench? It has ready-made, standardized nut and bolt objects. It could really speed up your design effort, I think.

Well, this project i think is way too big for modelling threads. I will look into this in my other project though.

(this part was hard... and still it is in quite simplified form - there should be many fillets added, but model would be too complex to handle assuming that that fillets could be done)

So next, a bit bigger update. Today group 03 - brakes. This contains all files made so far in this group. Mechanical part is mostly complete, only missing is brake cylinder and support for main lever - for first one i need to find some documentation (it is not included in engine's) for second... it is quite complicated casting. Pneumatic part have 'one' problem - same as cylinder, there is no detailed documentation for typical parts, so i would probably just draw some approximation from general drawings. So:

07 - ash pan, jackets - not touched yet

09 - handrails, tools, painting, misc - not touched yet
