Awesome project! I love what you've done here, and now I'm thinking about maybe a coffee-table version (I'm a couch-computer-er).
May whatever Higher Power you believe in bless the Ukrainians. They are a decent people who never hurt anybody.

Very impressive high precision work. Did you create the milling paths for the prototype with FreeCAD's Path workbench?
A Sketcher Lecture with in-depth information is available in English, auf Deutsch, en français, en español.

For the prototype, for the one I did myself the most expensive was the metal sheets (maybe usd200 if I recall correctly) and the screen prototype ($500 usd). Then PSU was 150. pritner around 100, 50 for the scanner. I already had the computer and the rest was not so expensive.

First let's hope I can sell enough to launch the project :D That will already be something.

The milling was done by the factory directly so I don't know. I never used the Path wb actually as I don't have a cnc right now.

For those who are interested the project just launched on Kickstarter :
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/8b ... has-it-all

If it's something that you like consider backing it.
Besides, if it's successful I can keep my current self-employment situation, which means being able to spend a lot of time on FreeCAD dev :D

Cheers!

Looked really well done!
I understand that you need a Kickstarter to make this product without spending 100 hours on one desk.
Hope you reach your goal and manage to make the products with some profit!
And really cool you did all this with Freecad!
