Very impressive high precision work. Did you create the milling paths for the prototype with FreeCAD's Path workbench?
For the prototype, for the one I did myself the most expensive was the metal sheets (maybe usd200 if I recall correctly) and the screen prototype ($500 usd). The milling was done by the factory directly so I don't know. I never used the Path wb actually as I don't have a cnc right now.
