Mine too! This is amazing work, and it's both the direction and level I hope to bring my skills up to. In my first year with a 3D printer (Mono X), I've been working on mechanically useful 3D printed tools and instruments. So as soon as I can put several hours of free time together, PJT, I'm going to study your work. Thanks much for sharing!

True story... my transmission failed on the way home from a grocery run last night. As amateur mechanic, I've been watching it fail for over a month now- it only holds ATF pressure for about 25-30 minutes after a cold start, then I lose it. But last night it failed in 5. Took me an hour to get home the 4 miles from WalMart. When I awoke this morning, I had dreamt that I was about 90% through the design work on a replacement, 3D printed transmission. This project gives hope to my dream. :-)

The latest PUMA microscope video is out. The link is:
https://youtu.be/58N5I5oGLLE
Previously I explained how to use PUMA as a system for developing augmented reality microscopy applications using the trinocular camera port to selectively erase the programmable HUD. In this latest video I explain how to build and fit the HUD projector itself.

So with these last two videos you now have everything you need to build a full AR-capable microscope. The actual AR programming will be up to you but the standard PUMA Control Console has some (very) basic AR applications programmed into its Arduino Nano. See the PUMA GitHub and other PUMA videos for more details:

The latest PUMA microscope video is out and is about fitting a precision mechanical slide holder to the sage. Here is the YouTube link:
https://youtu.be/XtqqCiPloAQ
This involved making a quite complex stabiliser module to enhance the performance of the cheap slide holders used - designed in FreeCAD of course and made to be 3D printable. The animated gif shows the stabiliser and the photo shows it 3D printed fitted to the scope stage. Another benefit of the PUMA project distributing the FreeCAD files (instead of just fixed STL meshes like some other 'open source' projects) is that the user can adjust the dimensions of teh stabiliser for optimum performance with their XY slide holder - because these cheap holders suffer from quite a wide manufacturing tolerance in dimensions depending on supplier.

The latest video is out on YouTube and shows you how to fit and use the Z-motor (stepper motor for computer controlled focussing). The animated gif below shows the parts designed in FreeCAD and the still shows them fitted to the scope. Link to video and github for the project are:

No other microscope has a filter quite like this. For details see the latest video just out: https://youtu.be/yW9H66BlUjU
Shown are the SLM housing in FreeCAD and the 3D printed fully assembled and working filter.

The latest video is out and shows you how to build the PUMA Control Console (PCC) - all designed in FreeCAD. This is a microcontroller breakout box (current version is for Arduino Nano) with fitments for multimedia user-interface controls and an optional GUI monitor
