A 2 cylinder steam engine driving a stern drive paddle steamer.
Plans by Julius de WAAL on http://www.vapeuretmodelesavapeur.com
The length of the reversing shaft (red) and any additional support would be determined by the builder to suit the application.
My first attempt on V 0.19.

Re: Stern driven paddle steamer engine
And, a successful one at that! Another beautiful un1corn model.
The detail and precision you include in your models are always fascinating.
Thanks for sharing.
Some questions:
Are you using Part Design and A2Plus assembly workbench?
Any V0.19 problems that you did not have with the earlier versions?
Ever thought about trying to animate an assembly like this?
"It is a poor workman who blames his tools..."
Re: Stern driven paddle steamer engine
Thank you ppemawm for your comments.
Yes, I am using Part Design and Assembly Workbench A2plus V4.04.
I did have some problems using V0.19 Some things do not work as expected, I put it down to my inexperience of V0.19 and the fact it is not a stable version, so I am continuing with V0.18 until the wrinkles are smoothed out.

Re: Stern driven paddle steamer engine
Neat!
I am building a pair of stern wheel steamboat engines using a lever type valve gear and California cut-off. I've drawn and 3D printed a number of parts and cast some in bronze. However, I haven't yet developed the skills to assemble parts in Freecad. Too little time, too many projects!

Hi Kunda1.
I have no objection to you using my images, PLEASE do not credit me with the design as the plans for all my models are from Julius DeWaal, this gentleman did all the hard work drawing them up and published them on http://www.modelesavapeur.com, I just worked them in FreeCAD.
