I have already a 6100 Wp solar panel installation (producing roughly 4800-5000 kWh/year).
Plenty for all my energy needs (heating the workshop/tempary home, warm water, cooking etc).

The energy company already has to pay me for the excess energy 8-)

I don't have much updates yet. I'm working on a new version of the house, since the previous version (shared here on the forum) was disapproved by the beauty board of the Municipality (welstand commissie in dutch).
So a completely different house is under development.

In a different topic I showed an image of the house in it's surroundings:

paullee wrote: Sat Nov 14, 2020 6:38 pm Did you use Geomatic (superseded by Trail) / Trail WB ?

External terrain is an area I have yet to understand. Can you showcase of your workflow in your thread ? :)

Thanks.
I've not used the Trail or Geomatic workbench, Here in the Netherlands you can download 3d geometry data from the Goverment.
here:
https://www.pdok.nl/3d-basisvoorziening

This gives the terrain and building envelopes.
I then cut out the section where I plan to build and inserted the yard and new house into it, with app:link. (I also roughly modelled the house of the neighbours for reference.

In the mean time I've managed to convince Blender to make a rather nice render of the new house design:

At the moment I have filled one side of the workshop behind the house with solar panels, 20 pieces, 310 Wp each.

So I probably don't need many more panels. But we'll see.
