it is very interesting. can you upload a video or picture that shows your work? do you work with XC? I wanted to write that with FEM for post processing. I want a software that runs on major platforms, not only on linux! what is your opinion about a software in freecad? is it possible? excuse me, I am newbie in freecad.bernd wrote: ↑Fri Oct 26, 2018 10:33 am 3-4 years is a good estimation for such a project. There is something very very cool in this regart already. See https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=31262 i have started to contribute to that project too. I would like to connect FreeCAD with this software somehow, but not inside FreeCAD FEM. I should be more simple, more geometry driven like FEM workbench. ATM I play with IFC structural analysis view. Means transfer an architectural FreeCAD model with the structural axises into an analysis modell, and generate input for XC. But it will take some time until there will be something to test with.
cheers bernd

Hi Ebrahim,
amazing work. Can you provide a FreeCAD file of the foundation?
I do not really understand the shear-punching concept.
The soil under the concrete foundation is "soft", how can you
be sure about the location of the shear planes?

Re: controling shear punching of Foundation
thanks. the location of shear punching plates is offset of d/2 from area around column. for circle column it is an equivalent of square for areas of both circle and squarethschrader wrote: ↑Wed Nov 07, 2018 10:59 pm Hi Ebrahim,
