Hello to all,

this topic is for the monthly FreeCAD Challenge as index and for general discussion. Each challenge should have it's own topic.
If you have a suggestion for a future challenge or the challenges are to hart / boring ... here is the place.
If you have something suitable, place a note in this topic and i will edit the index above. Then you open a new topic for the next challenge.

Rules for challenges:
- Use FreeCAD
- Upload your fcstd file

Remarks:
- Give your model some colour
- Take yourself time, the challenge is not for speed modeling.
- Name your file with your username
- Give a note if you used a additional workbench.
- An error in the provided drawing. Don't complain, correct it.

Happy modeling.

Hi Kunda,
Thanks for sharing. I love it. This is a fascinating piece oft metal. Do you know anything about its efficiency? Or is it more of an art project?

Hey @HoWil, Yes. It's an art installation.

These sculptures are really mind-boggling!
At 0:40 of this
phpBB [video]
you can see how the parts are connected - pretty clever and not too complicated.

In FreeCAD it would be something like one winglet plus a PathArray plus additional rotation along the normal of each element.

The price for such an ARTefact seems not really exaggerated, taking into account the artistic contribution, mechanical invention - both of these have probably taken years to be developed - , material and last not least the work that goes into it.
A Sketcher Lecture with in-depth information is available in English, auf Deutsch, en français, en español.
