Woodworking workbench translation

Post by kaktus »

@dprojects

Hello Darek.

Would you like to adapt the workbench you developed for translation into other languages :?:
Then Woodworking could join the FreeCAD add-ons in Crowdin. https://crowdin.com/project/freecad-addons/pl

That would be awesome 8-) , and would increase the popularity of your workbench among many users.

Woodworking workbench,

OK, I made translation feature and the ready for translation version is already available.

What is covered by the translation feature:
  • workbench menu
  • all icons mouse hover descriptions
  • info screens after click icons
  • Qt GUI tools, title, labels, status, buttons
What is not covered:
  • Created objects' labels and names
  • for example drop-down selection menu entries
Why all is not covered:
I am not sure if the translation will be used by anyone. This can be done but it need little more impact to the code and I am not sure if this is worth to do it.

I added also small tested tutorial, how to make translation: here

If you are interested to translate you can translate also:
and the most funny part of this, what I like the most ;-) if I change something you have to keep it in sync on your own ;-)

Good Luck ! ;-)

Thanks
Darek
