Re: wiki housekeeping
weird...
https://wiki.freecad.org/Special:WhatLi ... ditive.svg
lists several translations, but cannot find why it pops up as the missing icon,
however it is missing on some languages, like roman for one, so something with templates?.
similar weirdness with
https://wiki.freecad.org/Special:WhatLi ... active.svg
some languages miss the icon, and for polski it shows the additive icon
well, showed - that one was fixable, the others dunno what to do...
the following missing files only have translations linked to them, so those translations are candidates for deletion.
- https://wiki.freecad.org/Special:WhatLi ... Tab_04.png
- https://wiki.freecad.org/Special:WhatLi ... t-x-python
- https://wiki.freecad.org/Special:WhatLi ... dialog.png
- https://wiki.freecad.org/Special:WhatLi ... bstrip.jpg
- https://wiki.freecad.org/Special:WhatLi ... onnect.png
- https://wiki.freecad.org/Special:WhatLi ... xxxxxx.png
that sums up file link triaging for this year (at least for me...), it became close to a 2/3rd reduction in listed red-links.

Re: wiki housekeeping
These are false positives caused by the GuiCommand template. Based on the name attribute (Name=) the template first checks for the SVG icon, and when not found for the PNG icon. If both files are not found no image is shown, and both files are then wanted. For these 'Comp' pages only a PNG icon exists leaving the SVG icon as wanted. The Macro template is similar (SVG->PNG->Default).
Will look at those.
According to my list (which I somehow managed to delete) there are less than 300 items left from the wanted_rest2.txt. More than good enough I would say. Thanks.

Re: wiki housekeeping
Could the SVG for CarbonCopy be adjusted to have a solid line for the shape in the background?
I get the intent with the quasi-dotted line, but at icon size on the wiki the blue shape looks fuzzy IMO.
On the contrary the ToggleConstruction SVG is more crisp as its blue dotted shape is more uniform in its color combination (blue and darker blue).
To not have both symbols look the same the CarbonCopy could be say red and black or red and grey with the foreground shape, while the ToggleConstruction could retain the red/blue combination.
Example below, you can also see a "live" example on the Wiki on my user page.
EDIT: This would of course mean changing the Icon in FreeCAD as well

Done. A mod can delete it from here (or not) if convenient.Roy_043 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 26, 2021 9:55 am Please start a topic in the dedicated forum:

Re: wiki housekeeping
the 2 following can be deleted imho
- ManualDraft/it
- Category:Base (and all its language cousins)
is the below fixable?
on https://wiki.freecad.org/Category:Pages ... file_links the page https://wiki.freecad.org/User:PiffPoof is listed. when looking at that page there is no red-link, so it seems to render just fine.
Then one looks into the source and the single picture link is [[File:PiffPoof+work_in_progress.jpg]], so the plus is now a suspect. The plus becomes a % link and the file does exist https://wiki.freecad.org/File:PiffPoof% ... ogress.jpg, and it has a duplicate in https://wiki.freecad.org/File:Piffpoof_ ... ogress.jpg
When I change the link in page source to be [[File:PiffPoof_work_in_progress.jpg]] the rendered page shows a red-link.
So, how to clean this up? delete the duplicate? how come there obviously are 2 files listed, but it still makes a red-link out of the "correctly" named file?
btw, it seems to be several pages that are listed with broken file links that one cannot find a red-link on...
wonder if those are similar with duplicate file-names.

ManualDraft/it
Was already deleted (29 October 2021) AFAICT.
Category:Base
Deleted.
PiffPoof image
I do not understand why the plus character would lead to a false positive.
In the name of the correct image the user name is spelled with only one capital P: File:Piffpoof_work_in_progress.jpg. This explains your confusion. The user also had 2 user pages.

I checked a couple, but always see a red link (usually a missing image or icon).
Re: wiki housekeeping
thanks for straightening those things out, got tricked by the peculiar behaviour of being logged in or not.
(well, not the picture name, was obviously blind on that one)
here is the weirdness (of false positives) with being logged in or not, wonder where that comes from...
made the following csv, with a column for candidates for deletion.
have not gone through everything, just took the most obvious ones

Re: wiki housekeeping
Are you able to point out exactly which file link is the problem
I noticed that there are links to both external files and those from the wiki.
