Assembly 3 or 4 Assembly for FEM analyse?
Hi, I didn't know if this was somthing for the FEM thread or the Assembly but I decided to put it in here. So what I wantet to know if it is posible to create a assembly with AS3 or 4, give each part a difrent Material and simulate this. If yes is there a Tutorial for this and if not is there a plan for implementing it in the near future.

It was better to ask in the FEM Developement group(@chrisb can you move this topic?).
However i have never used a ASM3 /ASM4 for FEM. I self use always A2P but the workflow is similar.
FEM have no clue about PD or assembly hierarchies. So to do a FEM analysis on a assembly structure you need add the following step: Create Compount(https://wiki.freecadweb.org/Part_Compound)
If You need to simplify your model than use the defeaturing tool(https://wiki.freecadweb.org/Part_Defeaturing).
Then you can give the different shapes the required materials. apply constraints, create mesh and run the simulation.

A Sketcher Lecture with in-depth information is available in English, auf Deutsch, en français, en español.

Re: Assembly 3 or 4 Assembly for FEM analyse?
I tried it multiple times and every time I try tu run the solver it throws a error, I looked around a bit and found out that I should have linked the parts with FEM ConstraintContact(https://wiki.freecadweb.org/FEM_ConstraintContact) but I didn't try it. Still it would be nice if one of the Assembly workbench could do this.
But thank you for your Answer and maybe I am just to stupid to do it.
