Hi,
I noticed that in the Sketcher module, in the SketchOrientationDialog, the following orientations of the sketch plane:
1. If I choose the XY-plane, then the sketch will be oriented so that the Z-axis points towards me
2. If the YZ-plane, the X-axis will point towards me
3. If the XZ-plane, the Y-axis will point AWAY from me
Is that intentional?

Yes. This is to always have a local coordinate system so that the sketch's "X" axis goes from left to right and its "Y" from bottom to top.Is that intentional?

Ahh, ok!
But its basically a matter of taste. In Catia you have a button to flip the direction of the standard planes for the sketch creation..
