Re: LibLathe - Lathe Path Generation
Wicked! Well done to Wsk8, beautiful video. Clearly tip-toing through the cut, but who would't.
BE SAFE: LATHES ARE CRUEL MISTRESSES...CNC LATHES ARE UNFORGIVING SHREWS! (more so, in my opinion, than Milling machines, something to do with the spinny spinny things being bigger...)
as the great AvE would say: Engage Safety Squints!
As for you dubstar-04...tip of the hat so far! (I myself am entertaining using FC-Turning with our own machine, but I'll need permission for that, something to do with the pricetag of the beast).

Re: LibLathe - Lathe Path Generation
Thanks Dan, I think it will be a lot simpler if I just wait until until it's available pre-compiled.
Sorry for posting off topic.

Wow! That's fantastic!
And that is one VERY CLEAN lathe. Did you buy that just for this purpose?

Re: LibLathe - Lathe Path Generation
I have added a LinuxCNC Lathe post to the Turning Addon.
To use it set the path to the custom posts:
set the --lathe-mode argument for the post to 'engage lathe mode':
This will drop all the Y parameters from the gcode and set G18 rather than G17.
Thanks,
Dan

Re: LibLathe - Lathe Path Generation
Hello,
I was wondering if this has been added/implemented? If so, inwhich version?
thanks,
Ron
