Proposal for this dev cycle: name master branch releases 0.98, toponaming branch 0.99.1 for the first merge and increase for each subsequent merge this will make it very easy to differentiate what each person is running.

I would suggest 1.0 should be when we have toponaming officially declared as solved (not necessarily after realthunder's branch is merged). Whatever is before that, we keep going with 0.21, 0.22...

I think we should have a unified assembly workbench along with Toponaming that would constitute a 1.0 label.

I am confused. In 3 meetings we spoke about how to proceed now and I acted accordingly. Toponaming should be the development goal and then we have a FreeCAD 1.0. Also that this is the only hard goal, everything else is developed in parallel.
So FC 1.0 is ready when toponaming is almost no more an issue. This could be in 6 months or one year.

I announced this accordingly. I thought this info was communicated transparent in our meeting protocols, here in the devel forum and now also in the 0.20 release announcement. The announcement text was co-written by chennes who also attended all meetings and obviously understood it the same way as I did.

However, the info is out and there is no way back ;) , full force to fight toponaming and for FreeCAD 1.0! :D

what else would be needed to declare that in your opinion?
