To assure we have stable builds, the feature freeze stays for some more days.

Re: [announcement] FreeCAD 0.20 to be released immanently (Monday June 13th 2022)
Sorry in advance for my inconvenience and my lack of understanding, I saw (from the released links) that to update on Linux is using AppImage. However in my case, which I use Ubuntu Budgie, I installed it using the command:uwestoehr wrote: ↑Tue Jun 14, 2022 12:23 am The release has tagged:
https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/tree/0.20
The release branch is:
https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/tree ... eeCAD-0-20
The Toponaming development branch for FreeCAD 1.0 is this:
https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/tree ... toponaming
I will now fill the Wiki, website etc. bit by bit.
Code: Select all
$ sudo snap install freecad
Re: Still in feature freeze - FreeCAD 0.20 was released
I have built Debian 11 packages for my own convenience and also to be ready for Topological Naming merge (which is the main reason I appreciate 0.20 release as a starting point ). I'll upload them somewhere eventually, but: what is preferred OCCT version to build with? For now 7.5.1 is used as it is a part of bullseye, but I noticed a few bugs being fixed meantime. Shall 7.6.2 be build preferrably?

Re: Still in feature freeze - FreeCAD 0.20 was released
7.6.2 is the preferred version
0.20 stable snap is now available, usually snaps update automatically so nothing to do really but if not, snap refresh should do the job
