Re: Make a FreeCAD high school version

I have noticed that I can drag the properties window down and make it disappear, does anyone know how I can make that permanent? Maybe modify the config file.
Thanks

Re: Make a FreeCAD high school version

just personalize the Toolbar and you have all what you need for a easy use I will strip down some toolbars and see what that looks like. I'm not sure I can get what I want without hiding the properties tab, I really don't want anyone in there. Many will see this as a video game and try every option...

Re: Make a FreeCAD high school version

Thanks for the links and references, I will continue looking around. The more I think about this; the TCP code would probably need to go and there is just too much that would need to be hidden, I would need to compile myself. There would certainly be a reference to freecadweb.org to get the full ver...

Re: Make a FreeCAD high school version

For instance, if Part Design HS (high school) workbench is designed such that every time sketcher is entered the view switches to isometric and the option "restore camera" view is disabled, the user gets a totally different experience. The design is all done in a 3D view. If some users hav...

Re: Make a FreeCAD high school version

the kids will complain True enough but they will have an assignment to do and will do it for the grade. They can switch to a different WB later. It's actually kind of funny, I think the simple program is for the teachers and staff, they need to have something simple enough so that when the program ...

Make a FreeCAD high school version

My goals on this site have always been driven by using FreeCAD but also observing the progress and targeting a time when the program is mature enough to get into the school system. My favorite class in high school was drafting and I couldn't wait for the chance to visualize something in 3D and draw ...

Re: Box selection upgrade

I see "shift+B" and release the keys, the next left mouse click is a box select. You pick box points right to left: All objects crossing the box are selected(green box) I don't see that occuring. OS: Windows 7 Word size of OS: 64-bit Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit Version: 0.18.16085 (Git) B...

Re: A sketch scaling

I don't have all the details but I took the original and downgraded it a couple times in Draft and then converted to skech. I did in fact get an offset of the original and now have a sketch I can use in Part design. No parametrics of coarse but I could use it to make a lid.
