Re: 32 or 64 b
on ubuntu and debian, i386 means 32bits, amd64 means 64bits... Your system is 64bits, so 32bits packages won't work. You must take the 64bits package from the same location where you took the other one (look for 'amd64' in the name... amd64 is the debian/ubuntu name for 64bits packages, even if your...

Re: Quotation in drawing module?
Actually my idea was just to add some pieces of python code together with the C++ code, for example my macro above could be included in the source code and make part of the Drawing workbench... But on second thought, actually I spoke that only out of laziness... I really should make an effort and co...

Re: exporting 3d part and importing 2d dxf
For me a Sketcher have to be parametric and constraint solving. Also constraints to 3D geometry surrounding the sketch. I agree totally... But even so, sometimes you will need to import a "non-parametric" 2D something, and constrain it inside freecad I suppose... But probably the easiest ...

Re: wiki theme
Ok! Now I need to rush to finish a project until friday, but this WE I put it all online. No need to move anything, everything is done from inside the wiki, simply by modifying these 2 files: http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/free-cad/index.php?title=MediaWiki:Common.css http://sourceforge.net/a...

Re: exporting 3d part and importing 2d dxf
You know, you can do an awful lot of things in freecad with python. If you know a bit of it, you don't need anything else. Have a look here, there is pretty much doc already: http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/free-cad/index.php?title=Power_users_hub The 2D drafting module is also programmed 100%...

Re: exporting 3d part and importing 2d dxf
I'm sure there should be some way to convert... Maybe you can batch open-and-export them with ProE? To something such as step or iges for example. I have myself a big library of arch pieces in dwg format, that i'm slowly converting to dxf. I could do all automatically but I take the opportunity to c...
