Re: Learn Python (Beginners Guide) MangoJelly Solutions
I stumbled onto this series (Learning Python for FreeCAD Users) while searching youTube. I am a long time programmer in C and LiveCode and a relative newcomer to FreeCAD. I started FreeCAD in Jan. 2020. At the time I had no Python experience or 3D CAD experience. The learning curve was quite steep a...

Re: Korean Shapestring using English FreeCAD
Thanks so much for the feedback and possible workarounds. I updated my 0.19 version of FreeCAD and it now works. The font that I used came from https://github.com/Jpub/JSWebCrawler/blob/master/ch04/06-output/H2GTRE.TTF I peeked at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jz_064h3EEM to find the name of this ...

Korean Shapestring using English FreeCAD
I have the desire to have a Korean Shapestring while using my English version of FreeCAD. I have not been able to figure out how to do this. I am using FreeCAD .19 on a Mac. I am using H2GTRE.TTF for the font and I am using the 2-Set Korean keyboard on the Mac. The Korean text shows up in the field ...

It is helpful to give information about the version of FreeCAD that you are using. Best to go to About FreeCAD and copy and paste the information found there into your post.

Re: World Globe with Precision Shore Lines
Bravo! Thank you for the appreciation. Wow, impressive! Was it just for fun or is it part of something else? Thank you M4x as well. The answer to your question is really both. It came to me that the earth globe would be a fun project using data that I was already familiar with. The reason that I ac...

World Globe with Precision Shore Lines
My first big project with FreeCAD, a world globe using the high precision GSHHS boundary data of earth’s land masses. See https://www.ngdc.noaa.gov/mgg/shorelines/ The globe, composed of two hollow hemispheres with outside radius 100mm and inside radius 96mm, were used as base for the land masses. 2...

Re: Automatic transfer of object name to modied parts PR
I appreciate the feedback on my post. With respect to the use of F2. On the Mac the F2 key controls increase in screen brightness. If there is a way to map a FreeCAD function onto an F key on the Mac I would appreciate learning how. There are F keys that do not seem to be used for something useful. ...
