Re: Groove a selected sketch?

And what happens if it IS attached to a support shape? Are there still cases where it totally fails? I think we might have a lack of communication here. There are 3 mantis tickets that I know off which relate to groove, 746,747,748, which have not been assigned or closed but I see jrheinlaender did...

FreeCAD from git masster causing cpu 100% on start

Hi guys I just git pull-ed and compiled OK but FreeCAD on start pushes a cpu core to 100% and stays there and is thus unusable. I can't get to help about so I typed git show and got commit b86fc6cbe4914861b25a1314cf7eeba62054b3a9 Merge: 6efe6ff 484c801 Author: wmayer <wmayer@users.sourceforge.net> D...

Re: Groove a selected sketch?

threedbb Did you map your groove sketch to a face of the solid you are trying to groove? Werner I just tested this theory before replying to this, if you do not attach the groove sketch to a face of the solid to be grooved, then groove tool just makes a revolve. What should the behaviour be in this ...

Re: NO snaps

There were once two PPAs for FreeCAD daily - compiled daily from the git master source code at whatever state it was in. This is still available and the one to use Dev - was compiled by Norm or others when they thought it might be a good idea and the code was in a reasonable state. This one is no lo...

Re: interpolating BSplineSurfaces

I am wondering if a gui for this would be a good idea, and if so what would it look like and how would it function? for example 1)you would presumably be able to select a Part WB Vertex for your list of vertices 2)but also the vertex within a part/primitive (e.g. the ends of a line or corners of a c...

Re: TODO for sketcher

I forgot to add that we should put a note in the tool tip regarding multi-line curve.

Re: Creating a parts library

This is in the works, but you can't do it yet. You can partly do this only, by making many small parts and then use file menu ...merge project.. to suck the parts into another project main project, this is what I often do, but it won't update the main project when you change the smaller project, tha...

Re: NO snaps

Ah! good point Norm, I missed that, I had dev not daily.

I should have said to install FreeCAD from
ppa:freecad-maintainers/freecad-daily

see the FreeCAD wiki here for instructions

Re: TODO for sketcher

Hi Norm I'm at my Mum's place, on her computer which until a few hours ago didn't have FreeCAD on it, I was working entirely from memory, so my icon comments have to be taken within that context. :) Regarding the number of posts, I have not passed my birth date, but I have passed my shoe size and my...
