That message comes from PartDesign workbench. I used the Part workbench.

PartDesign starts from Sketches. Part can start from almost anything. You can make a model to send for printing using either.

Re: Modeling U-Bolts and Cones

I am trying to use this to create a new nosecone that can be 3D printed. I'm not sure how I use this. I copied the macro into my macros folder and then ran it. Was it supposed to create a sketch or what workbench should I use this in? Running the macro in an empty document creates this: NoseConeSli...

Re: enhancement: little changes to dimension lines

I like the "relaxed" look. It should be fairly easy for vertex/vertex measurements, maybe not so much where edges are involved. Using centerlines as dimension targets has been on the list for some time. The stumbling block right now is that centerlines aren't selectable and only exist on ...

Re: BRep_API: command not done?

<class 'Part.OCCError'>: BRep_API: command not done This means OCC could not complete the requested operation. In this case "fuse". Usually means the operands (cylinder and swept) are incompatible with the operation. At a guess, I would say one of cylinder.Shape or swept.Shape isNull. I g...

Re: Part vs Part Design

Without knowing what this technically really means, I think it is a good idea to rename Part Workbench. We have a Part workbench that doesn't produce Parts. We have a PartDesign workbench that doesn't design Parts. We have a Part object that might be a Part, but might be an Assembly. And we have po...

OMG I have not seen that term since my CP/M days.

Re: Non programmer stuck: No module named dxfwrite

I am not a programmer. Is it as simple as copying the extracted dxfwrite-1.2.0 folder to: C:\Users\ccullum\AppData\Roaming\FreeCAD ? Boy, you're really getting the bottom of the support barrel on this one - I don't use Windows, I don't use Drawing Dimensioning and I'm not a Python whiz. Never the l...
